Stephen John Hartnett, chair, Communications, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is the principal investigator(P.I.) for a $10,000 grant from the Waterhouse Family Institute (affiliated with Villanova University).
Co-P.I.s are Communication Department colleagues Lisa B. Keranen and Patrick S.W. Dodge who also works with the International College of Beijing. The grant will support their research project “The Dilemmas and Opportunities of U.S.-Chinese Communication in An Age of Globalization.”
The grant will support work conducted in Hong Kong, Lhasa, and Beijing regarding modes of public debate about the evolving U.S.-China relationship.
