School of Dental Medicine graduate is Colorado Dental Association’s new president

AURORA, Colo. - Dr. Tom Pixley is the new president of the Colorado Dental Association and the first graduate of the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine to take on this esteemed role. 

The Colorado Dental Association is an organization committed to supporting organized dentistry in Colorado, serving over 3,100 members. It represents over 80 percent of the licensed dentists in Colorado. 

Pixley is a general dentist and has a private practice in Fort Collins, Colo. He has practiced dentistry in Colorado for 24 years. He received his D.D.S. from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in 1986 and completed his general practice residency from the University of Rochester in 1987.

In addition to holding every governing office of the Colorado Dental Association for the last four years, Pixley is the former chair of the Colorado Dental Association Governmental Relations Council and a strong advocate for access-to-care for underserved populations. He is a fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists.
