DENVER – Two University of Colorado Denver online graduate programs continue to be featured in the U.S. News & World Report magazine Best Online Graduate Education Rankings. On the latest list, the University of Colorado College of Nursing on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora comes in at No. 10 and the University of Colorado Denver School of Education & Human Development in downtown Denver is No. 29. Key factors in the rankings include student engagement, faculty credentials and training, student services and technology, peer reputation and admissions selectivity.

CU College of Nursing

The CU College of Nursing is among six schools tied at No. 10 for Best Online Graduate Nursing Programs.

"We are very excited that our online graduate programs have been recognized again by U.S. News & World Report magazine," says Dean Sarah Thompson, PhD, RN, FAAN. "We are proud of all of our innovative online programs, including the recently revised RN-BS program."

The rankings cover master's and doctor of nursing practice programs that are offered entirely online. For the CU College of Nursing, this includes the master's in Health Care Informatics and the i-LEAD Nursing Leadership and Health Care Systems master's program.

"Through Diane Skiba, PhD, FAAN, FACMI, the University of Colorado College of Nursing has a tradition of providing innovative, electronic avenues for learning that extends back to the early 1980s," says Linda Flynn, PhD, associate dean for academic programs. "Today, many of our faculty teach online courses, and with Dr. Skiba, continue to provide high-quality graduate programs online that deserve recognition. We are proud of this ranking from U.S. News & World Report magazine."

CU Denver School of Education and Human Development

The CU Denver School of Education & Human Development scored highly among the Best Online Graduate Education Programs. U.S. News and World Report magazine ranks the school in a tie at No. 29, up from No. 54 just one year ago.

"We are delighted that the School of Education & Human Development has moved up again in the national online rankings," says Dean Rebecca Kantor. "Our online education programs include those for a master's in Early Childhood Education and a master's in Information Learning Technologies – eLearning Design & Implementation and most of our programs are hybrid offerings. We have plans to continue to expand totally online choices for students to make our degree programs even more accessible and to extend our local, state, national and global sphere of influence."
