DENVER (Sept. 10, 2013) - Thirty-three faculty members at CU Denver received awards at the 2013 Celebration of Faculty Excellence on Friday.
Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Laura Goodwin delivered introductory remarks at the event in the North Classroom atrium and Provost Rod Nairn presented the certificates and plaques.
"Your work is awesome and inspiring," Goodwin told the awardees. "The process is more difficult every year."
Selection committees in the areas of non-tenure-track faculty, service, faculty mentoring, research and creative activities, and teaching -- each consisting of award winners from the previous two years -- selected the campus winners.
"It's a pleasure to do this every year," Nairn said. "It's terrific to recognize our outstanding faculty for their contributions to our various missions."
