AURORA, Colo. - Cool evening temperatures couldn't keep students away from the grassy quadrangle by the academic buildings on the Anschutz Medical Campus.
The somewhat typical cool Colorado-spring evening on April 10 prompted most students to drop by the grilling area to enjoy the food and then head off to other warmer spots. Though some hardy souls warmed up with fun and games.
The annual event was organized by Student Government and the Office of Campus Student Services. With more than 650 students dropping by, it was a festive time for all.
Jewish Student Life at CU Anschutz (an associated student organization recognized by Student Senate) provided all the catering services and kosher food for the event – students gobbled down the kosher burgers, hotdogs and veggie burgers…as well as all the fixin’s and sides.
"The dip in temps and the breeze caused a lot of folks to quickly head back inside after getting their food," observed Cheryl Gibson, Office of Campus Student Services. "But we did have a 'die-hard' contingent playing volleyball having a lot of fun!"
