As Executive Director of Media Relations, Jacque Montgomery oversees the internal and external media efforts at the University of Colorado Denver. Her team supports the internal and external media efforts at the Denver Campus and the University of Colorado Hospital on the Anschutz Medical Campus. In this role, Jacque plays a critical role in issues management as well as emergency management communications.
Jacque came to the University of Colorado Denver in October 2007 as director of media relations and public affairs where she supervised a team of four media specialists providing media relations and PR support to the University of Colorado Denver’s two campuses—the Denver Campus and the Anschutz Medical Campus—as well as the University of Colorado Hospital. From October 2009 to September 2011, she served as interim associate vice chancellor for the Office of Integrated University Communications supervising the design and execution of the University’s new brand as well as launching the new system brand for the University of Colorado.
An Emmy Award-winning broadcast journalist, Jacque received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri Columbia. She serves on the board of the Colorado Chapter of the American Diabetes Association and volunteers media support for the Women’s Bean Project.
