The Office of Policy and Fiscal Analysis (OPFA) uses data analysis, program evaluation, and financial modeling to support an efficient allocation of campus resources. The office conducts fiscal analysis of proposed campus academic programs, centers, or institutes. The office also serves as the campus liaison for legislative proposals and identifies the fiscal impact of proposals upon CU and the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus.
The goals of the Office of Policy and Fiscal Analysis are to support:
- The development of new academic programs and centers with a financial review
- A balanced budget by modeling and estimating campus tuition revenue
- Financial strategies in response to a changing public policy environment
- Conducting cost studies for campus service centers or balanced budget programs
