What is the SharePoint Foundation Widget?

The SharePoint Foundation Widget is a customized web part ​that enables users to display content on their web pages using a variety of visual features. Currently, you can use the Foundation Widget to display content with the following features:

• Tabs
• Accordions

The widget provides a foundation in which other visual features can be built (a slideshow, for example); hence the name Foundation Widget. University Web Services plans to build additional display options for the Foundation Widget in the future.

Where can I find training for the Foundation Widget?

There are several training options available for you to learn how to use the Foundation Widget web part. All options walk you through how to place tabs and/or accordions on your web page. 

• Classroom sessions are available on both campuses. See the Training Schedule for a list of currently scheduled Foundation Widget classes.
• The Foundation Widget Training PDF is a printer-friendly version of the course student guide in its entirety. 
• Job aids are published in the Web Part section of the Online Training site.
• Create an Accordion
• Create Tabs
