Title

Name.dll conflict on intranet homepage

Assigned To

Demers, Scott

Brief Description

Detailed Description

Anonymous users of the SharePoint 2013 intrnate home pageFaculty/Staff homepage are prompted with the following msg: "Office needs your permission to run" (screen shot also attached)This a direct result of the Name.dll conflict, same as what we experienced in 2010. It seems we want to keep this feature enabled for intranet pages requiring user authentication, but remove it for any public facing pages. My suggestion is to add the recommended JavaScript to all public facing masterpages.

The following script was inserted into the fsICUWelcome.master page and published:

<script type="text/javascript">
function ProcessImn(){}
function ProcessImnMarkers(){}
</script>
Demers, ScottNo presence information (6/3/2013 1:38 PM): From bernie johnsen: Ok looking into it more carefully my.ucdenver.edu is a host name site collection under a single admin web app.  Making this changes would affect my.ucdenver.edu and all of the workgroups.ucdenver.edu URLs.  My revised recommendation would be to work it into the appropriate master pages.
