Title

logout doesnt actually log you out, it just closes tabs.

Assigned To

Johnsen, Bernie

Brief Description

In MOSS 2007, logging out used to shut down your entire browser, effectively ending your session. Now it just closes a single tab, which does not end you session.

The logout works if there is one tab being used in the browser. MOSS used to close the entire browser. SP just closes the open tab but leaves the browser open, thus leaving us logged in after shutting the one tab. I get a message that the browser must close but SP only closes the tab.

Hi Tim,
The logout is working for me, it asks me to close all browser windows. Is this part of the scroll issue that Graham is working on?
Thanks!

Jen,
Not sure if you are working on something, but SP isn’t logging me off when I logout. Earlier it wasn’t allowing me to login.
Using IE 7. My student reports the same problem…
