SharePoint is writing pink font color tags around links you have visited when you copy and paste in the GUI.
1. go here: http://development.ucdenver.edu/academics/colleges/medicalschool/administration/alumni/CUMedToday/features/Pages/visited-link-test.aspx
2. login and edit the page
3. click on one of the stories in the related links box in the left column
4. hit the back button
5. using the GUI, copy the related links sidebar box
6. copy the related link box into another content field on any page
7. The result should be the clicked link will be pink upon pasting
8. view the HTML of the content box where you pasted
9. note the font tag around the link
