 Branding setting error message

Brief Description

​In branding settings, when the Keyword Description Override checkbox was selected, and non-alphanumeric characters were entered as keywords (e.g. commas, dashes, etc.), an unexpected error occurred.

Detailed Description
  • Go to
  • /life/services/studentlife/getinvolved/StudentGovernment​
  • go to branding settings
  • check the "Keyword Description Override" checkbox
  • save
  • You should get an error message like so:
    Error
    An unexpected error has occurred.
    Troubleshoot issues with Microsoft SharePoint Foundation.

Demers, ScottNo presence information (1/23/2012 4:11 PM): The keywords override was restested, and behaves exactly as expected. This solution can be pushed to development.ucdenver.edu and staging.ucdenver.edu at AISD earliest convenience.
Suchak, KomalNo presence information (1/19/2012 6:07 PM): Attached to this task is the detailed plan and results. Below are the results found while testing the override checkbox: 1. When the override option is checked, it does exactly what it is supposed to do – includes the new keyword in the branding settings for each level below the “Centers” sub-sites. 2. When the override option is not checked, it still includes the new keywords in the branding settings for each level below the “Centers” sub-sites – which is not supposed to happen.

    Johnsen, BernieNo presence information (12/14/2011 4:56 AM): This issues was addressed in BSL v1.4.0 and was deployed on 11/3.  Another bug, discussed in this ticket: http://www.ucdenver.edu/about/departments/WebServices/services/Features/Lists/Development%20Queue1/DispForm.aspx?ID=186 was also resolved with BSL v.1.5.0 and was deployed to spdev for testing.  Testing both issues should be addressed simultaneously under ticket 186 above.
     
    Once UA testing is complete,  please reassign to Bernie for deployment to sptest, Development.ucdenver.edu and Staging.ucdenver.edu.
    Johnsen, BernieNo presence information (11/3/2011 6:10 PM): This is ready for UA testing.  For now that can be conducted on http://spdev.ucdenver.edu .  In the future this will be done on http://sptest.ucdenver.edu .  Please test and report back if AIS&D should push to Development.ucdenver.edu and Staging.ucdenver.edu
