A) Rave is the company that CU Denver, Metropolitan State College of Denver, Community College of Denver and Auraria Higher Education Center (AHEC) have selected as the service provider for CU Denver/Auraria Campus Emergency Notification System (ENS).
Rave provides computer-based communications tools and support to entities including colleges and universities to quickly and efficiently share critical information during emergency situations.
A) If you have registered to receive voice messages, you will receive them on any phone number you register. Keep in mind that messages may be sent without a voice component, and may be only sent via text and/or email.
A) Go to the Rave registration Web site at https://www.getrave.com/login/DenverAlerts.
A) Yes. You may enter any phone number or e-mail address in the Rave system.
A) The CU Denver/Auraria Campus Emergency Notification System is a text and voice messaging system, but you can also choose to be notified by e-mail or another type of text device.
A) The university will not assess charges for this service; however, depending on your agreement with your mobile phone provider, you may incur charges if you opt to receive text messages in a campus emergency. Please check with your provider to understand your charges.
A) In addition to your name and an e-mail address, the system will require you to enter the phone numbers and/or e-mail addresses at which you wish to receive messages.
A) Imminent emergencies such as, but not limited to, fire, tornado, hazardous materials spill or an act of violence.
A) It depends on the situation, but this system is designed to get the information out very quickly to the end user. Based on our testing, Rave is able to send SMPP text messages to all registered users in less than 10 minutes. Voice messages may take somewhat longer.
A) If one of your phone numbers or e-mail addresses changes, you will need to log onto https://www.getrave.com/login/DenverAlerts and update this information.
A) Yes. The information contained within the confidential database will not be used by any of the participating organizations outside of the project's scope.
