The mission of the University Police Department is to support the research, patient care and education missions of the university by providing for a safe and secure campus environment in which students, faculty and staff may work, learn and conduct research.
Because our agency is unique, we place a special emphasis on working closely with our campus residents with a commitment to community policing and with an appreciation for the need to respond to the needs of our community with compassion as each situation dictates.
We are committed to increasing the professionalism of our department and each individual employee through continuing education and training.
We recognize our role in the Denver and Aurora neighborhoods that surround us and are proactive in working with groups external to the campus to create a safer neighborhood and, hence, campus environment.
