The passage of the Academic Support Fee in 2005 necessitated the establishment of a committee to advise the Office of Academic Resources and Services concerning disbursement of fee income. Committee membership is comprised of students from each of the professional programs at the Anschutz Medical Campus serving as financial liaisons on Student Senate. The AVC-AA of OARS is co-chair with the Directors of Educational Support Services, Academic Technology and Extended Learning, Health Sciences Library and Student Services attending meetings, and the Director of the Student Assistance Office serving as an ex officio member.
Academic Support Fee: $75 per student enrolled term to support maintaining, developing, upgrading, and enhancing library resources for students, both on-site and remote; online instruction and learning management systems (such as Blackboard); and the student information and records system and its interactive web delivery (for example – registration).
