Mindy is the data request point person for the department. She provides student and course level data for external and internal requests including IPEDS enrollment and annual program review and coordinates completion of campus enrollment reports. 

Dave Deffenbacher, Director

Dave provides technical and content expertise, reporting, and analysis of institutional data to internal and external audiences, with a particular focus on student and course data and state data reporting systems.  He also represents the office on a number of committees and provides guidance to the university and other CU campuses regarding the recent CU student information system replacement. 

Paula Dickson, Associate Director

Paula provides reporting and analysis of institutional data to internal and external audiences. She focuses on annual and term-based reports for admissions, enrollment and course-related data including graduation and retention rate analysis, SURDS and various ad hoc student and course reports.  Paula also serves as backup for IPEDS enrollment and degree reporting.

Jeff Finch, Senior Systems Analyst

As the department’s database and web technology analyst, Jeff coordinates and supports dataflow into OIRE’s central data warehouse, maintenance of internal and web-based applications, and publication of datasets to OIRE’s website and other analytical toolkits.

Carrie John, Student Lifecycle Analyst

Carrie focuses on the research, analysis, and reporting of student information according to all levels of the student lifecycle.  She serves as a liaison to the Division of Student Affairs and provides information pertaining to prospective students, currently enrolled students, and alumni.  Carrie also represents the office on various committees relative to student enrollment and success.

Bill Lind, Research Coordinator

Bill works with faculty and staff data including reports for public and private data collection organizations, internal survey analyses and ad hoc faculty and staff reports.

Nathan Schwab, Senior Research Coordinator

Nathan works with faculty and staff data and is responsible for the Affirmative Action data analyses, faculty and staff IPEDS reporting, and a number of salary survey reports. In addition, he performs miscellaneous and ad-hoc analyses related to faculty and staff information.

Christine Stroup-Benham, PhD, Assistant Vice Chancellor

Dr. Stroup-Benham is a member of variety of campus, System, and other committees as a content expert as well as a resource. She provides expertise regarding accreditation, strategic planning, measurement and assessment, student retention and graduation measures/analyses, student (ISIS) and HR (PeopleSoft) systems, cross-functional and trend data/analyses, etc. Additionally, she performs institutional/educational analyses and research and develops reports for internal and external customers.

Hailey Winn, Coordinator

Hailey serves as one of IR’s  main points of contact for requests and provides additional support to IR staff with their reporting needs through data research, report coordination and data entry.  She also updates and manages the majority of the college guidebook process, including collecting, analyzing, and creating reports to complete external guidebook surveys.  In addition to these duties, Hailey provides support of IR survey activities in coordination with other staff members and manages the IR file archiving project.
