The Academic Building 1 project includes construction of a new, 146,000 gross square foot building at Speer Boulevard and Larimer Street, and the renovation of a variety of vacated spaces on campus. The total project budget is $65.8M. The new building will be the first on the Auraria Campus owned by the University of Colorado Denver, and will house many of the student service operations and several departments from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. It also includes several large lecture halls. The new building will be open for the fall 2014 semester.
