Enabling YOU to Reset Your University Password

What is a PassportID?
The PassportID is the username and password pair that provides secure access to several resources at the university, as well as a number of resources provided by the CU system.  These services include email, the UCD Access Portal, etc.
For those of you who already have credentials, we’re just giving these credentials a name that everyone can recognize (PassportID), so that we may more easily talk about them as the resource that they are.
How do I get my PassportID?
All Faculty, Staff and Students are automatically granted a PassportID because of their relationship with the university.  Other people affiliated with the university may request a PassportID by completing the Sponsored User Request form available at https://passport.ucdenver.edu.
In order to start using your PassportID, you must first claim it.  This process is available at: http://myaccount.ucdenver.edu.  You will need your Employee ID, Student ID, or Sponsored User Number, as well as other data about yourself.
Note:  this process can be done only once and cannot be used to reset a forgotten password.  To reset your password, please see the section below.
I already have a PassportID, but have forgotten my password, what should I do?
Please navigate to https://passport.ucdenver.edu/oim and click the Forgot Password link circled and highlighted below:

When prompted, enter your PassportID username and click Next:

When prompted, enter your PassportID challenge response answers, when complete hit next:

Choose a new password that complies with the password policy, click save:

I need to change my password, how do I do that?
Please navigate to https://passport.ucdenver.edu/oim and enter your PassportID username and password, then click Sign In:

On the Welcome | Dashboard panel, click the Change Password link as outlined below:

Enter you current PassportID password, followed by a new password that complies with the stated policy:
Image 7.png Click Apply, and heed any error messages returned.
 
I have forgotten my challenge response questions that go with my PassportID, how do I manage them?
Image 8.png Once on the login page, enter your PassportID username and password, and click Sign In.
From the Welcome tab, click the Profile tab.  And then from this tab, click on the Security tab:

Once on the Security tab, choose questions and provide answers, or review what you already have in place.  Don’t forget to click Apply once you have made changes, and please note that you may only choose each question once and that your answers must be unique.
