These recommendations are intended to provide minimum specifications for a successful computing experience at the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus.
- General Use System: This type of system is for every day office use. Order this type of system for reading email, surfing the internet, and using Mirosoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
- High Performance System: This type of system incorporates all the requirements for the "General Use System" but has addional specifications for graphics and picture manipulation, sound & music manipulation, or is required to run specialized software.

Purchasing Computers:
Below are several recommended websites where you can configure and purchase Apple Macintosh or Dell PC computers at discounted prices. Computers are available for both Institutional purchases or for personal purchases. For Institutional purchases, a University procurement card is required and for Personal purchases a personal credit card is required.
APPLE COMPUTER PURCHASES
Denver Campus Staff, Faculty and Staff can visit the Auraria Bookstore for educational discounts on Personal and University Purchases of Apple Computers and Peripherals
DELL COMPUTER PURCHASES
University Purchasers can browse the Dell selection and purchase computers or peripherals at an edcuational discount from Dell through the UCD Access Portal; Marketplace tab.
