IT Services fully supports and assists with Windows and Macintosh/Apple Systems. Many of our technicians are Dell certified (Windows systems) and/or Apple certified (Mac systems). UC Denver and the State of Colorado also offers great discounts through contracts with Dell and Apple. IT Services supports Windows XP Service Pack 3 and Windows 7 Professional Edition and above. Windows Vista Business Edition and above will be supported on a best effort basis. For more information, please visit the Supported Software section of our website.

IT Services fully supports Macintosh OS 10.5x (Leopard) and 10.6x (Snow Leopard). Support for all other Macintosh operating systems will based on our "Best Effort" support model. For more information, please visit the Supported Software section of our website.

Yes. IT Services currently supports both 32 Bit and 64 operating systems. Please note, not all University software is compatible with the 64 Bit operating systems. IT Services will only offer "Best Effort Support" for these software programs.

Yes. University Faculty/Staff can gain access to XP and Windows 7 Pro for installation on University systems at no charge through LAN Admins, Tech Coordinators or IT Services Technicians. However, Windows software must be installed and configured by one of these individuals due to security restrictions. Non University systems or Student/Personal Systems can obtain discounted software through the AMC or Auraria Bookstores, at a great educational discount. Microsoft also offers this software at a great discount through the Home Use Program, for UCD Faculty/Staff/Students personal systems.

Yes. University Faculty/Staff can gain access to Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise or Office 2010 Professional Plus for installation on University systems at no charge through LAN Admins, Tech Coordinators or IT Services Technicians. Yes. We have a secure and fully functional Blackberry Server/System. We can setup, manage, support and fix several issue with Blackberries through assistance from RIM, Blackberry, Wireless providers and Microsoft. However, there is a charge to maintain the data on Blackberries and a higher level "enterprise" data plan must be purchased from a cell phone provider before setup can occur. The State and UCD Procurement Services has negotiated special pricing for this situation. For more information on Blackberries, please visit our mobile messaging section of our website.

No. Help Desk support is free and we assist with several common problems, with computer setups, creating work orders, and answering general questions about your computer needs.

There is no charge at the Downtown Campus. The service/support/labor is free for the Auraria Campus locations and university employees/assets. We will only charge for travel time and materials not provided by warranty when applicable. At the Anschutz Medical Campus, we do charge $75/hour for labor and travel time.
