Road/Sidewalk Closure for Special Events

If you are planning an event on the Anschutz Medical Campus that requires the full or partial closure of a roadway or sidewalk you must submit a request which will be reviewed and approved by the Campus Traffic Committee.

The request form can be found on the Facilities Forms tab in the EMS Web APP located at http://schedule.ucdenver.edu/virtualems/.   It is helpful to attach a sketch, drawing or Google map image marked up with the area of the closure, and the plan to manage traffic (vehicular and or pedestrian) during the closure showing barricades detours etc. Traffic control plans and barricading are the responsibility of the event organizer and are normally procured through an outside vendor. The request will be submitted to Mike.Vigil@UCDenver.edu or Helen.Rydberg@ucdenver.edu. Your request will be evaluated and you may be required to attend one of the Weekly Traffic Committee meetings to further discuss and get approval for your closure. 

The Weekly Traffic Committee meetings are held each Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Campus Services Building, room 300. After your request is submitted and evaluated you will be contacted by a Traffic Committee member to discuss the next steps needed to facilitate the approval of your request.
