Facilities Support Services at the university is committed to maintaining a sanitary and safe environment, aiding the university in achieving its central goals of education, research and patient care. The department’s custodial responsibilities revolve around the daily cleaning and sanitizing of more than 2 million square feet between the two campuses.
The majority of cleaning at the Denver Campus and the Anschutz Medical Campus is conducted by Aztec Facility Services, a contracted company. Employees are onsite from 7 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Generally, cleaning is completed in the evenings at the Denver Campus; at the Anschutz Medical Campus cleaning is completed during the day. Day porters are on duty for restroom cleaning and restocking, emergency cleaning and general custodial issues at both campuses.

For your convenience, Facilities Support Services provides added protection by placing hand sanitizer stands at major building entrances as well as sanitizing foam in numerous classrooms and public spaces. For sanitizer replacement, please call the Customer Service Center at 303-724-1777.
