Educational Support Services


Classroom Support provides multi-media assistance for the Anschutz Medical Campus and UCD buildings on the Denver Campus. This includes setup and delivery of equipment, as well as check out of equipment, assistance with audio, video and recording equipment, etc. Requests for assistance should be submitted two-three days in advance whenever necessary. Technical assistance for courses is provided at no charge, all other services have related fees.

 

 

Classroom/AV Support

Classroom/AV Support is available for courses (no fee) and for non-course related events. This includes setup of equipment, assistance with audio, video and recording devices, assistance with loading of Powerpoint presentations, or other multimedia equipment, i.e., document cameras, DVD/VCRs, audience response systems, etc.. Request for technical assistance should be made a minimum of three days in advance of an event.

 
 
 

Educational Laboratory Support

Educational Laboratory Support is available to provide supplies and equipment for microbiology, physiology, pathology, histology, and phlebotomy labs on the Anschutz Medical Campus. Equipment available includes binocular microscopes with 4X-100X objectives, centrifuges, surgical instruments, sterilizers, water baths, incubators, and more. Requests for setup should be received no less than two weeks prior to the date of the class/event to allow for ordering of supplies, etc.

 

Audiovisual Equipment Checkout

Audiovisual equipment can be checked out for use for classes or other events on campus. There is no charge for equipment required for classes. Equipment available for checkout includes: data projectors, laptop computers, DVD/VCR players, digital recording equipment, public address systems, audio-conferencing phones, microphones, etc. Requests for equipment checkout should be made a minimum of three days in advance of an event (a week is preferable) to ensure availability of equipment.

On the Anschutz Medical Campus, equipment can be picked up in ED2 North, Room 5124 or delivered for a fee. For UCD buildings on the Denver Campus, please call the ESS DDC help desk at (303) 315-2055 to make arrangements for equipment checkout.

 

 

Computer Support

The Computer Support Unit provides computer hardware, software and technical expertise required for student courses and computer training labs, as well as computer support for departmental events and the fulfillment of their respective missions. This is includes the installation of specific software for courses, webinars, and other programmatic needs. Computer support is provided for 12 departmental servers and over 210 workstations on the Anschutz Medical Campus.
