Surabhi Gupta

UPP 2013-2014 Cohort

Surabhi comes from Nepal, a land surrounded by mountains. She is a sophomore and is currently working on her Public Health and Biology major at the University of Colorado Denver. It has been 3 years that she moved to Colorado and is thrilled by what Colorado has to offer to at especially the scholarship that she has received. People usually describe her as a very friendly, social and humorous person. She has managed to adapt and grow a lot since the time she moved to Colorado. She is a go-getter and grabs every unique opportunity that comes her way. She is passionate about medicine and hopes to be an anesthesiologist some day in the near future. This is why she values this unique opportunity to be at UPP, Kaiser Permanente Track and hopes to get the best exposure about existing health disparities, factors that affect behavioral health and also hopes to get some patient contact experience in pediatrics.

In her free time, she loves to volunteer at Sky Ridge Medical Center and loves learning about different diseases and ways to treat them. She loves fast cars and wishes to own a lot of fast cars in the future. In her free time, Surabhi loves hiking, cooking, running, playing soccer with kids, practicing photography and loves taking pictures of wide variety of things.
