Erika Guevara

Undergraduate Pre-Health Program | 2012-2013 Cohort

​ Erika is an Integrative Biology major at the University of Colorado Denver and will graduate in May of 2013. She aspires to pursue an education in medicine and is focused on exploring the various fields that are readily available to her. She is actively involved as an intern at The Scientific Education and Research Institute (SERI) and recently lead the internship program MedAdvance serving as Vice President of Development. She is currently exploring her capacities in research working with Dr. Jiang Chen in the Department of Dermatology at the Charles C. Gates Center for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Biology over the past year. In the summer of 2011, Erika earned her Phlebotomy certification and enjoys teaching other students technique as well as volunteering locally. Erika joined UPP for the opportunity to gain exposure to various healthcare careers and acquire more knowledge about the current state of healthcare in our nation.  In her spare time, Erika enjoys cycling, snowboarding, attending sporting events, and traveling.
