University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus | Office of Inclusion and Outreach and Kaiser Permanente Health Plan of Colorado | Diversity Development Department partner to provide summer internships for undergraduate students interested in pursuing careers related to health care. Both organizations are committed to helping increase the number of historically underrepresented individuals within health care professions for the purpose of reducing health disparities among underserved communities in Colorado.
Students are selected on the basis of academic and professional achievement, and an interest in the Healthcare Professions. We encourage students from underrepresented groups or categories (first generation college attendee, low-income, or ethnic minorities such as Black or African American, Hispanic, American Indian or Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander or Asian) to apply. Applicants must have completed at least one year of college by June 2011 (30 or more credits). Applicants must hold a sophomore or junior status and must be enrolled as a fulltime student for the duration of the program (Fall 2013 and Spring 2014).
