Jamie Walter is currently a senior at the University of Northern Colorado. She will be graduating in the spring of 2013 with a degree in Audiology and Speech Language Sciences and a minor degree in psychology. Upon graduation, Jamie will have completed the honors program at UNC. She is currently working on her honors thesis, which will describe the self-efficacy found in parents of children with hearing loss. During her time at UNC, Jamie has taken active leadership roles in the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association as events coordinator and secretary. She was the recipient of the 2012 College of Natural and Health Sciences’ College Student Council Undergraduate Leadership Award. Jamie is honored to be immersed in the field of audiology and to learn more about health care and current issues through her experience with UPP. After graduation, Jamie will pursue a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D) degree and is interested in practicing pediatric audiology.
