Cori Terahara is currently a second-year student studying Biochemistry at the University of Colorado Boulder, expecting to graduate in 2015. As a Daniels Scholar and an Undergraduate Pre-Health Program (UPP) Fellow, Cori displays characteristics required to be both a leader and an innovator – including intellect, tenacity, and sincerity. Due to his inquisitive nature, Cori’s natural inclination towards the sciences, and a strong sense of community and desire to aid those in need, a career in the medical field seemed all but second nature. Cori was initially attracted to the UPP due to the rare opportunities for research in the medical field at the undergraduate level, as well as the opportunity to surround himself with like-minded fellows interested in becoming both healthcare providers and humanitarians. His current fields of interest include anesthesiology and pharmacology, but he is open to exploration in all aspects of the industry.
