Eddie Soto is currently a second-year Biology major attending the University of Colorado Denver. He is the son of first generation Hispanic immigrants and aspires to one day attend medical school and become a pediatrician. Through UPP he hopes to gain awareness and experience valuable to the field of medicine. He also wants to learn more about the ongoing health disparities that are found within healthcare. Eddie enjoys giving back to the community and volunteers with different organizations on a weekly basis; he enjoys teaching elementary school students the importance of general sciences. In his free time he has been an avid musician and soccer player for over ten years. He has been both an instructor and participant for these two hobbies. Through his experiences with UPP Eddie hopes to learn what it truly means to be a healthcare provider.
