Cristiane Campelo-Hess attends University of Colorado Denver, where she is majoring in Biology and expects to graduate in 2014. Her passion is dentistry, and her ambition is to become a Doctor in Dental Surgery. She plans to help people learn how to prevent cavities and cultivate habits for oral health, and is excited for the day when she will be able to assist patients as a full-fledged dentist. Prior to attending CU Denver, Cristiane was a practicing attorney in her home country, Brazil, where she was also the first person in her family to graduate from college. Today, in addition to attending CU Denver, Cristiane takes care of her husband and their daughter, a 15 month-old toddler. For Cristiane, being admitted to UPP not only marks the continuation of a life of academic success; it represents an unparalleled opportunity to begin a successful dentistry career.
