Aurora Brooks is a sophomore at the University of Colorado Denver, majoring in Sociology and minoring in Biology. Aurora, who hopes to work in developing countries, applied to UPP to further her knowledge about current health disparities. She believes that in furthering her understanding of these issues in the United States, she will be able to further understand the health disparities that exist in countries around the world. Aurora is excited to start her research with UPP at the Children’s Hospital. What she is sure to be an inestimable and precious experience and learning opportunity cannot come soon enough. Aurora is also a member of the second cohort BA/BS-MD program at CU Denver. During her leisure, Aurora is fond of hiking, volunteering, and spending time with her loved ones. She is honored to be part of UPP, and their affiliates at Kaiser Permanente and the Anschutz Medical Campus.
