Julia Wedum is a University of Denver graduate, graduating in June 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a minor in Biology and Spanish. Julia has always known she wanted to be a pediatrician and has never shied away from programs that can help her reach this goal, so when she heard about the Undergraduate Pre-health Program (UPP) she jumped at the chance. Julia also volunteers at the Children’s Hospital on the oncology floor as well as does research at DU to help better her application for medical school. Although studying for the MCAT, keeping up with her studies, volunteering, doing research and working a part-time job as a tutor doesn’t leave her much free time, UPP has allowed her to work among amazing Kaiser Permanente representatives and come to the Anschutz medical campus, her dream medical school! She wouldn’t trade her experiences for anything in the world.
