Kaysie Walter is currently a junior at the University of Colorado Denver where she is majoring in public health. She is also a student in the inaugural BA/BS-MD program. During the summer experience with UPP, Kaysie worked at Anschutz Medical Campus in a neurology lab studying Multiple Sclerosis. She helped to design the protocol for an experiment that is currently studying the antibodies possibly involved in Multiple Sclerosis. Kaysie grew up on a ranch near the small town of La Junta, Colorado. Her interests include cooking for her family, reading, and demolition derbies. After completing medical school, Kaysie plans on pursuing a career in rural medicine.
