Annika Jones is currently a junior majoring in Public Health at the University of Colorado Denver. Being a participant in the Undergraduate Pre-health Program has allowed her to explore the research aspects of medicine through her internship in the Medical Oncology Department at the University of Colorado School Of Medicine. It has also exposed her to clinical aspects of medicine through engaging conversations, presentations, and group activities on the same campus. Annika has decided to continue her research education by working in a Molecular and Cellular Developmental Biology Lab on the University of Colorado Denver downtown campus. Outside of school, Annika has been an avid tennis player for more than ten years. She has been both an instructor and a participant on teams around the city. Annika hopes her experiences will provide her with valuable insight into what it means to be a future health care provider.
