Health Disparities Video Series Workshops

These workshops incorporates a film-driven approach using Kaiser Permanente’s Telly-Award Winning Diversity & Health Series to provide a rich context for exploring the unique cultures of five specific populations.

The purpose of the films is to raise the cultural awareness, knowledge and skills of health care providers and employees for the purpose of achieving:

  • Enhanced patient interactions and health outcomes;

  • Respectful and productive relationships in the workplace; and

  • Collaborative relationships with the communities they serve to find solutions to eliminate healthcare disparities.

The student senate and each program has assigned one or more students to be student advisors to the Office of Inclusion and Outreach. We meet to discuss issues and diversity.

The Office of Office of Inclusion and Outreach continues to provide administrative support for the SABES (Spanish Acquisition Begets Enhanced Service) group. We provide office space, copy materials and order the lunches for the mentors.
