What is Summer Bridge?
Bridge Program focuses on the success of incoming freshmen by preparing them
with knowledge and skills to prepare them for their college career. You will be exposed to campus resources,
college success strategies and participate in team building activities. By
participating in this program, you will connect with a support team and be
assigned a peer coach that will assist you throughout your college career.
Why Attend the Summer Bridge Program?
IT'S FREE: We are offering this program at no cost to the
student, once your application has been approved and you’re accepted; only a
commitment to attend all the events and workshop sessions is required.
The Summer Bridge Program will provide you the chance to become adjusted to
college life before your first semester by:
a head start in preparing for the college experience.
about college resources and becoming familiar with the campus.
a head start on the expectations of college writing.
new adventures and make new friends.
What does the Program look like?
Wednesday May 20, 2015 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- June 15th thru July 17th
- Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday - 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- Friday, June 19th, 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Campus Scavenger Hunt
- Friday, June 26th, 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Anschutz Medical Campus visit
- Friday, July 10th, 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Professional Development
- Friday, July 17th, 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Elitch Gardens Trip

How to apply:
Candidates must be admitted and enrolled at the
University of Colorado Denver to apply for Summer Bridge. Candidates
must complete the online CU Denver Summer Bridge application or please click here for a fillable word document and priority will
be granted to those that apply by May 10 2014, the application will remain open until all spots have filled.
