Hispanics represent less than 7 percent of the Engineering workforce in the country.
As an engineering student organization for the University of Colorado Denver we aim to retain current engineering students through supportive relationships and activities, promote engineering to students strong in the areas of Math and Science and to provide our members a connection to professional development opportunities.
Becoming a member of the CU Denver SHPE student org also requires membership to the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) national organization. Through this connection, CU Denver SHPE is provided with opportunities and resources that other student organizations do not necessarily have.
