Black Student Services

Black Student Services

Welcome to the Black Student Services Portal!

Our services are provided to all CU Denver students of all Black cultures and nations!

The Black Student Services assists students in all phases of their educational career while attending CU Denver through a uniquely designed network of support services. Since its inception in 1969, Black Student Services has assisted hundreds of African American students with admissions for both undergraduate and graduate programs, academic counseling, and peer support services.
The program aims to increase numbers of African American students enrolled at CU Denver and assist our current students in having a positive academic experience. We believe students should have a strong supportive environment while attending college, so we subscribe to the concept of Jamaa II "a second family away from home."

Please stop by the Educational Opportunity Programs office at the North Classroom, room 2012 and seek any services from BSS Director Omar Montgomery and our Program Specialists!
