Mentor a Student Veteran

Share your experience and wisdom with a vet.

Think of what it must be like for returning vets readjusting to civilian life—classes, syllabi, resumes, job interviews. Wouldn’t you like to help ease this transition for these brave women and men who have made sacrifices for our country?

You can, through the CU Denver Boots to Suits mentorship program.

This program matches Denver executives—like you—with student veterans in their senior year at CU Denver. Commit to meeting with a student veteran four times during the course of a semester to share your insights and advice. Help a veteran network within your organization and the community to ease the transition from combat to career.

With everything else on their minds, student veterans shouldn’t have to worry about the right attire for that all-important job interview. That's why CU Denver Boots to Suits has partnered with a major retailer to help provide suits to our student veterans. At the completion of the mentorship, you and your company will have the option of purchasing a suit for the student veteran at cost, to aid in the job interview process.

Share your wisdom. Mentor a veteran.

Supporters Say

"Have people mentored me? Absolutely. Lots of people have directed me in ways that have allowed me to become successful. So I'm happy to return the favor by providing guidance, perspective and wisdom to help these returning veterans avoid some of the mistakes I may have made along the way."
