Student veterans know what they have accomplished in service to their country. Now, they need a foot in the door to prove they can do a civilian job.
Giving a student veteran an internship is a win-win proposition.
CU Denver Boots to Suits, along with the CU Denver Office of Experiential Learning, matches talented veteran students with businesses, government agencies and non-profits in need of extra support. Interns usually work up to 20 hours per week for a 16-week period during the fall and spring semesters.
With their real-world experiences, veterans bring unique skills and perspective to the table—including proven leadership under pressure, a strong sense of teamwork and an unparalleled work ethic.
Go ahead, give a vet a chance at success.

"An internship is an opportunity for the tire to meet the road. In college, you study what to do in your given career field. But you can't learn everything from a book. Until you get a chance to actually do it, you haven't really learned it."
