From individuals to industries, the University of Colorado Denver, located on two campuses at the Denver Campus and the Anschutz Medical Campus, is co-creating educational and business partnerships that impact quality of life across the state and around the world. The institution’s progress is guided by a wisdom that reflects the meaningful research and innovation in education that is taking place across the Denver campus and the Anschutz Medical Campus—everyday. The result? The creation of new jobs, inspired transfer of ideas into reality, and the artistic and intellectual enrichment of citizens throughout the state.
Creating Futures is the most ambitious fundraising campaign in the University of Colorado's 135-year history. With a public phase launch date of April 25, 2011, the goal is to raise $1.5 billion in private funds to support scholarships, faculty and program enhancements, privately funded research and facilities.
Multi-year efforts such as this typically have a "silent phase" to build momentum toward the goal and engage key constituents. The Creating Futures silent phase began on July 1, 2006; more than raised $900 million has been raised, and these contributions have already been making a significant difference in sustaining excellence.
Students and faculty alike are excited by a strong sense of achievement and a commitment to building brighter futures for themselves and for their communities. With the help and generous support of Chairs Dave and Laura Baker, Denver Campus, and Nan and Carl Eklund, Anschutz Medical Campus, as well as dedicated fellow donors, the university is impacting lives throughout the state and around the world.
