Division of Student Affairs

Housed in Student Affairs are an array of programs staffed by caring professionals designed to support students in their academic experience at the University; “Success realized: one student at time.”

Academic Success and Advising Center

The Academic Success and Advising Center (ASAC) assists students in the development of meaningful educational plans that will be compatible with career aspirations, contribute to the process of preparing for a life of change, challenge and individual fulfillment.

Career Center

The Career Center offers a full array of services that prepare students for the transition from college to career. Students are encouraged to participate in career-related programs and services as early as their freshman year to begin to consider career options and gain the skill and experience necessary to be successful upon graduation.

Disability Resource Center

The Office of Disability Resources and Services (DRS) is committed to providing equal opportunities and fostering the personal growth and development of students with disabilities. The DRS staff strives to meet the needs of a large and diverse community of students with disabilities.

Learning Resource Center

The Learning Resources Center (LRC) provides academic support services for students at University of Colorado Denver. These services focus on collaborative and active learning principles and are designed to foster academic excellence and personal responsibility through the development of critical and analytical thinking, academic learning strategies, and intellectual curiosity.

Orientation

The new student orientation programs are designed to provide a welcome to the University of Colorado Denver community through information sessions on academic expectations, opportunities for co-curricular, research and social engagement and campus resources.

TRiO Student Support Services

The TRiO SSS program is federally funded and designed to retain and graduate low-income, first-generation students and students with disabilities. Annually, the program serves 165 undergraduate students who also show a need for academic support.

Veteran Student Services

The Veteran Student Services program is committed to helping support veterans and veteran issues on campus by providing a network of resources. The staff also certifies and provides information for various Veteran Affairs benefit programs.
