The chancellor is the chief executive, academic and administrative officer of the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus. He is responsible to the president for the conduct and affairs of both the Denver Campus and the Anschutz Medical Campus.

The chancellor provides dynamic leadership and promotion of the vision for the university consistent with its mission as a diverse teaching and learning community that creates, discovers and applies knowledge to improve the health and well-being of Colorado and the world.

The University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus is home to 13 schools and colleges providing more than 130 degree program options for students. It is a comprehensive institution with more than 29,000 students attending classes on one of two campuses or online.

 

Donald (Don) M. Elliman, Jr.

Chancellor for the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus

The chancellor is the chief executive, academic and administrative officer of the university. He is responsible to the president for the conduct and affairs of both the Denver Campus and the Anschutz Medical Campus. Don Elliman was named interim chancellor by University of Colorado President Bruce Benson on Feb. 2, 2012. He began his official duties on April 2, 2012.

The Office of the Vice President for Health Affairs University of Colorado and Executive Vice Chancellor Anschutz Medical Campus oversees the academic, research and clinical operations of the Anschutz Medical Campus while also focusing on key strategic initiatives, including transportation, relationships with affiliate health-care partners and development on and around the campus.

Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs oversees multiple areas related to the health sciences professional schools, centers and other health research areas.  Additionally, the vice chancellor for health affairs is responsible for overseeing all areas of the university's clinical enterprises at the Anschutz Medical Campus.

Roderick Nairn

Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs

The provost and vice chancellor for academic and student affairs oversees the academic, faculty, and student programs at the university.

Jeffrey Parker

Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance oversees university functions including budget and operations, facilities, human resources and information technology. Additionally, the vice chancellor for administration and finance serves as the university's chief financial officer.

Richard J. Traystman

Vice Chancellor for Research

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research oversees all the research functions of CU Denver including research development, grants and contracts, regulatory compliance and laboratory animal resources.

Leanna Clark

Vice Chancellor for Marketing and Community Engagement

The Office of Marketing and Community Engagement develops and implements integrated marketing communications strategies to advance the university's image and reputation.

The Office of Outreach, Events and Alumni Relations serves the University of Colorado Denver’s executive team. The office plans and manages outreach to local, state and national communities and manages all internal university events hosted by the chancellor.
