This season the University of Colorado Denver will be again honoring the spirit of giving, Chancellor Jerry Wartgow announced the second year for the Giving Back Campaign. All faculty and staff will be given one half day of work time (four hours) to go into the community and participate in a volunteer activity of their choice. Individuals may choose to use their time to participate in a volunteer activity of which they are already a part. Or you may participate in a group activity with others from your area, or across the university. This year the program has been expanded to include students and alumni.
The campaign, which runs from November 28, 2011 through February 27, 2012, will seek to quantify the total volunteer activities and breadth of activities. After your volunteer activity, you'll be asked to visit the Giving Back Campaign website to provide a brief synopsis of your accomplishments. These stories will be used to provide a more complete picture of the contributions our university makes to our community every day.
