Successful Assistive Technology Funding Practices -
Hands on Training for Today's Economy

Different disabilities require different AT and knowing what is out there and how to pay for it can be difficult. Even when a funding source is found, eligibility requirements, restrictions, paperwork, rules, regulations, and denials can interfere. This training is designed to address those needs and more. Offered in two sessions, targeting different age groups, these two-day, sixteen hour courses will each provide a broad range of strategies to help. Topics include strategies for maximizing potential funding resources such as private and public insurance coverage, school, Community Centered Board, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, Veterans Administration and other agencies.
This class is geared to the professional or parent, to better understand navigating the systems and ensuring your documentation means a successful funding process. Guest speakers from the many state and community agencies will provide insight and expertise in ways to fund technology. As the learner you will learn how to approach a funder for AT, language for letters and much, much more! The very comprehensive class handouts will be available for a fee in a hardcopy notebook or CD.
