This session will reveiw the underlying characteristics of ASD as well as various technologies, including mobile technologies and Apps for curriculum access. Participants will understand the importance of assessment in matching individual student characteristics of ASD to technology features for the selection of appropriate technology solutions. Strategies to support the implementation of technology in school environments will be highlighted. Free and low cost resources will be shared.
This training is for special educators, SLPs, SWAAAC teams, administrators or anyone working with students with autism and making decisions on technology or using technology with students with ASD.
