Keith Harmon Snow is a war correspondent, a former United Nation’s genocide investigator, and the 2009 Regent’s Lecturer in Law & Society at the University of California Santa Barbara, recognized for a decade of work challenging official narratives on war crimes and genocide. We welcome him to campus to share a multimedia presentation based on his work on the ground in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Uganda and Sudan. Based on his work he has been threatened with lawsuits by war profiteers, gun-runners and multinational corporations. He was captured twice and detained by militias in Eastern Congo, and in the course of his mission(s) he swam across the Congo River and three major tributaries. He is persona non grata in Rwanda and Ethiopia.
