XSci at the University of Colorado will be celebrating the journey of 28 Colorado teachers with the premiere of a new documentary film, Inspire Me Africa--- depicting the journeys of Colorado teachers from 2009 in Tanzania and how they translated their extraordinary experiences into extraordinary learning for their students back home in America.
Additionally, the evening will be a fundraiser to help kick off a Colorado hub for Jane Goodall's famous Roots and Shoots program for students and teachers. The Jane Goodall institute, and Dr. Jane herself hope to make Roots and Shoots Colorado one of the most innovative and energetic R&S programs in the world. Since Roots and Shoots is all about making the world a better place, a portion if the funds raised will also go to support the African orphanages and schools our teachers visit each year.
All proceeds go to the initiatives listed above. There are only 300 seats available and we wanted to reach out to science teachers first, as most of the teachers on this amazing journey were science teachers… some you may know.
It will be an amazing event and representatives from Jane Goodall's Roots and Shoots organization will be there to answer questions about how to get involved in Colorado!
