College of Architecture and Planning

Located on the Denver Campus

The state’s only architecture school, the College of Architecture and Planning offers undergraduate and graduate programs on the Denver and Boulder campuses. The college has created communities of interest in the areas of: emerging practices in design, sustainable urbanism, healthy environments and cultural heritage.

College of Arts & Media

Located on the Denver Campus

In the College of Arts & Media, students focus on the intersection of art, the creative industry and emerging technology. Programs are offered in 3-D animation, digital design and transmedia, as well as painting, drawing, art history, photography and sculpture.

Business School

Located on the Denver Campus

The Business School offers new initiatives in bioscience entrepreneurship, sports and entertainment management, global energy management and sustainability. Online, 11-month, executive MBA programs offer additional flexibility for students.

School of Dental Medicine

Located on the Anschutz Medical Campus

The School of Dental Medicine is one of the most selective in the United States, with more than 1,400 applicants annually for only 80 positions in the DDS program, and nearly 500 applicants for 40 positions in the international student program. Postdoctoral residencies are available in general practice residency, orthodontics and periodontics.

School of Education and Human Development

Located on the Denver Campus

Colorado’s largest graduate school of education emphasizes student opportunity, achievement and success in urban and diverse communities. Areas of study include programs for new teachers, experienced teachers, school administrators, counselors, school psychologists, school librarians and technology and research professionals.

College of Engineering and Applied Science

Located on the Denver Campus

The College of Engineering and Applied Science provides undergraduate and graduate education in four disciplines: civil engineering, computer science and engineering, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering. The college emphasizes integrating foundational knowledge and skills with real-world application.

Graduate School

Programs may be on either the Anschutz Medical Campus or the Denver Campus. On the Anschutz Medical Campus, students learn to expand the frontiers of human health and disease in more than a dozen basic science, analytical, clinical and nursing disciplines. On the Denver Campus graduate programs are offered in seven schools and colleges, serving more than 1,000 working students.

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences offers undergraduate and graduate programs in a wide range of disciplines. School of Medicine

Located on the Anschutz Medical Campus

The School of Medicine trains medical doctors, physician assistants and physical therapists, offering programs that are nationally and internationally known for their excellence in education, research, patient care and community service. Several specialties within the school are ranked by U.S.News & World Report.

College of Nursing

Located on the Anschutz Medical Campus

Founded in 1898, the College of Nursing established the first nurse practitioner and school nurse programs in the United States. Its PhD program is one of the oldest research doctoral programs in the West. The college also offers a doctor of nursing practice program and flexible and traditional undergraduate programs.

Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences

Located on the Anschutz Medical Campus

The Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is consistently among the top 10 U.S. pharmacy schools in federal research funding. The school conducts pioneering basic, translational and clinical research in a variety of scientific fields. Specialized focus areas include cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, neurological disease, infectious diseases, HIV/AIDS and critical care medicine.

School of Public Affairs

Located on the Denver Campus

The School of Public Affairs offers programs in Denver, in Colorado Springs, on the Western Slope and online. The school is ranked in the top 12 percent nationally by U.S.News & World Report. Specialty areas within the school include domestic violence, education policy, environmental policy, nonprofit management and local and state government.

Colorado School of Public Health

Located on the Anschutz Medical Campus

Collaboratively formed by the University of Colorado Denver, Colorado State University and the University of Northern Colorado, the Colorado School of Public Health is the only collaborative school of public health west of the Mississippi River. The school offers 15 public health academic and professional programs in areas such as biostatistics, epidemiology, community and behavioral health, global health and environmental and occupational health.
