Overview of the Application Process

When to Submit Your Online Application

All application materials much be received by both the Ph.D. Program and the University of Colorado Denver Graduate School. Early submission may avoid unnecessary delays. Normally, only four to six new students can be admitted into the program each year; this number represents a small percentage of those applying for admission.

Admissions decisions on applications received by the stated deadline - February 1 - for Fall and Spring will be announced no later than April 1.

Review Process

A Graduate Studies Committee will review your transcripts, coursework, letters of reference, statement of purpose, and GRE (Graduate Record Examination) scores.

If you do not have the requisite educational background, GPA or GRE scores, you may be admitted on a conditional or provisional basis and additional course work may be required in accordance with Graduate School rules.
